Does anybody have the resolution that was given on the last day of the 2003 DC? When I heard it, I almost fell out of my chair. The brother said there were 10 guidelines we needed to follow in the resolution. And it just so reminded me of the Ten Commandments. Its pathetic that they try overstepping the 2 commands Jesus gave us. Love God and your neighbor. Simply put. Then they always have to have all of these rules. Does pharisee ring a bell?
Well, if anybody had that I'd appreciate seeing it again. Thx

FDS Sends Convention Delegates Packin'
by ezekiel3 injehovah's witness across north america are being sternly counseled at this week's service meeting that they should pack lunches during the 2004 dictrict convention instead of leaving the site to eat elsewere or return with food.
in a letter read during the announcements, members are told this is a "serious problem".
reportedly jws have been banned from some convention locations because the venues want concession stand business if jws insist on bringing carry-out meals into the facility.

Wow, Orange. I wish I could have gone and reported then. I would have loved to have seen what they would have told me. I'd probably ask them if they're joking. Man, that's just a bunch of @%^#%.

Benefit of UN affiliation??
by Bubbamar inhi - i know i'm a newbie and this question has probably been addressed before - so sorry - but can someone tell me the inside scoop.
of what benefit was it to the wtbts to register with the un?
i imagine it was of significant value to risk such a huge scandal.

Its sad the dubs will make up any excuse for the society. They have to, if they don't then that means their whole belief is false. So, no matter what, they'll make up something. Anything.
Welcome, Bubbamar. Now that you're a member on this board, just go to the search engine and type in UN. You'll find quite a bit of posts on here. The first time I read about it, it just blew me away. And that was a good point brought out about the internet taking off and that the society didn't think that it would. I was wondering how they would keep it wrapped up. But I guess one of Satan's tool, the bad internet, has shown the dubs for what they are. Ironic justice. -

Farkel, Is that true? Do they really do this? Or is that an assumption? Cause I'm really curious now, lol. I mean, I don't doubt you. Its just that's pretty extreme. I wonder.

So, I guess that with the light getting brighter, we've been doing it all wrong these times. :P
Oh, and if the society wants to use that scripture, why don't they add the part that it was Jesus who provided for them. They didn't have to bring their own lunch. So, where's the friggin' food then? HUH? HUH???? -

The DC of 2003 announced that brothers should report if they've rented from a hotel that was not on the list. I didn't have enough cash til the convention and then I was able to get a great deal online. And when they read this announcement, I was thinking to myself, WTF? There's no way I'm gonna go rat out myself.
Yeah, yeah, maybe its to do further research on the possibility of having the hotel on the list, but I guessed even then that it probably had something to do with money. I wonder how many others did or didn't report.

its what the bible shares.

What kind of video games do you play?
by dustyb ini play pc games for the most part.
i'm still in the old counter-strike mode.
but i also like to play unreal tournament 2003 and 2004. i also like battlefield 1942/vietnam and farcry.. i would recommend the athlon 64 or fx(if you gots lots of cash) series from amd over a pentium, since they run 32 stuff fast now and can do 64 bit when the production version is released.

I used to play FFXI, its a great game in its own way. They really focus on getting a party together of up to 6 people. And if you don't know a lot, then you have to wait up to an hour sometimes to get fighting. I played it for about 3 months. And then when I quit, I gave this guy about 114k, he was speechless. It was cool.
I'm playing Lineage 2 now. Its a fun mmorpg til WoW hits the shelves. We;ll see how that one goes. If anybody else plays L2, we should all get together and do some PKing. That'd be so much fun.
I just recently bought myself a 256 meg video card and Far Cry is by far the best looking game out there. Its amazing what they can do now. Has anybody seen the PSP yet? -

Apostates are very disappointing. I just found the WTS is true about them.
by reason inyour conduct, attitude, manner of speech, avatar, all of these shows what sort of hearts you people have.
i can't feel the holy spirit operating in you people.
the first time i exposed myself to apostates, i was imagining matured people, more matured than the jw's.

"Obviously it would be impossible to study all the thousands of religions inside and outside Christendom before making a choice."
What's wrong with doing research on 1000 different religions? Its better than taking someone else's word for it.
